About the event
The Grape Life, in partnership with Hey Dave Music, presents Songwriter Sessions, a unique Listening Room Experience and part of Hey Dave Music’s ongoing mobile songwriter series, a recognizable Quad Cities brand since 2019.
This special evening will feature three accomplished artist-songwriters — David G. Smith, Doug Rees, and Lojo Russo — sharing the stage together from 7–9pm. Doug Rees will be coming up from Nashville, where he has performed several times at the legendary Bluebird Cafe, and he joins longtime friends David and Lojo for a night built around original music, storytelling, and genuine connection.
The format is simple, intimate, and powerful: all three artists on stage at the same time, taking turns performing original songs, sharing the stories behind them, and “carrying on” in the easy, unscripted way that only happens when great musicians with real chemistry are in the room together.
